EMT trap

I plan to get my A1200 online using a PCMCIA card.

Have been experimenting in FS-UAE so far before I get the hardware I need. I have networking up and running in the emulated Amiga and ping, telnet works.

I have tried various versions of curl and wget from aminet and sourceforge and they work to execute for example like this

Code:

curl --version

But if I try

Code:

curl http://eab.abime.net

It fails with

Code:

EMT trap

Every version I tried fails with the same error

I have ixemul.library in Libs:

I have tried to use the stack command and set the stack to various values, but it makes no difference. What could be the problem here?

Anyone that is using curl or wget on classic Amigas? What versions are you using?

I suspect the problem is in ixemul-48.0.lha that I understand is some kind of unix emulation layer. Other network utilities I have such as telnet and ncftp works.

I think the problem I have was I was using AmiTCP-bin-30b2.lha and some versions of curl the needed newer bsdsocked.library api version.

Now I have Roadshow TCP/IP stack and:
AmiSSL 4.7
curl-7.74.0.lha (no ixemul needed!)

And now curl works quite good.
