IN PROGRESS: Cantaloupe AGA

This has been mentioned in this thread: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=2280

Appears to be by David Schofield, and there are details in the readme file - but I don't even have the demo!

Shame, as I played the C64 version (Sensitive) just the other day.

This looks like a game to search for!

Can someone provide a link to the readme, or just paste up the text here?

You can find the disk on the file server in 'TOSEC/Games/Public Domain/[ADF]/C'.

Here's the relevant bit from the readme :

Did anyone contact David using the above postal address? If not, I'll do it.

If someone 'has', please could you let me know before I put something together.

Cheers!

I've just realised that I've not done anything with this. I'll pull my finger out and get things moving.

OK. I've pulled out the author's address from the readme, and after a little bit of searching it would seem as if members of the family still live there.

Last night was the first time I'd actually played the game, and I was amazed at how polished it is.

Anyway, I'm going to get a letter put together today and sent off in tomorrow's post.

Can someone set the thread title to "In Progress", please?

Thanks!

Thanks Prowler. The letter's gone out in today's post.

I've given the author my email address, but have given the EAB a good plug, so it's possible he'll sign up and post.

Will let you know of any developments.

Well, you can't really do any more than that at this point. Here's hoping!

Hi all!

I got Rob's letter today - I'm incredibly flattered anyone even remembers my old games!

The full version of Cantaloupe (+ source code) is here, feel free to use / redistribute / etc however you like.

Cheers
Dave

Hi Dave, and welcome to EAB!

As you can see, the Amiga community is alive and well in the 21st century, and this is partly thanks to the excellent games coded by yourself and others.

Thankyou very much for your contribution today!

Please do have a browse around and feel the enthusiasm here.

Dave, that's absolutely fantastic. Thanks so much for making this available to the community. It's another game we can now knock on the head, finally play, and preserve.

So, do you have anything else Amiga related kicking around you think we may find of interest?

Thanks again.
