ASM Uni Course

A guy I work with is doing a computer science degree at uni..

He left some of his paperwork lying around the other day and he is covering 680x0 coding..

If anyone is interested I might be able to get his course tutorials and scan them..

Does that include tutorials for complete asm noobs?
Something for someone who tried a dozen of times and always failed at the very beginning?

I've not really seen much other than what was on the table at work..

Don't get too excited. When I did a 68K module at uni all it was just flashing LEDs and detecting button presses

We were using 68010 single board VMEs connected via serial & HyperTerminal on PCs. Needless to say I aced that class

But purely being nosey I'd like to see his couse layout

There's no such thing as "Amiga ASM" as 680x0 asm = 680x0 asm.

You certainly have things in an Amiga that you need to bang with ASM and are not 680x0 (custom chips)
That is what I meant.

Custom chips are programmed in plain 68k assembler.

I took an ASM course at university back in 2002. Funny thing is it was about "computer architecture" so I did not knew it had anything to do with ASM. LOL, anyway the first classes where so interesting to go to, but then when we had to learn RISC ASM programming and the teacher suggested we trace logic routes or something I pretty much knew at that time I would never finish it at that time, so I skipped it and replaced it with something else next semester.

I know i am a complete newbie (hence my interest in this thread), so I don't understand a thing. ;(

I guess the difference between platforms is the memory map?
But the "language" itself (mnemonics etc.) remains unchanged as long as it's 680x0, 65XX, etc...

Akira I am more than happy to spend a few hours on IRC going over a few bits n bobs.. Others have helped me a lot, and me helping others helps me too if you follow..

This is why I enjoy chatting to Horace, we are both new and we both learn off each other
