Amiga MINIX boot disk

Hello mates, ia have downloaded the minix disks and have followed the instructions, but the boot disk not boots.
I just extracted all the contents of the lha file onto a blank .adf for then writing back to a disk for my real 500, but the disk won't boot.
Is the disk needed to be formatted on a special manner?
Thanks in advance!!!

you need to make it bootable...the way i performed it at the time was to write a little intro on the bootblock...but i think there is a cli command for that...(install?) also you can take the image of a dos bootable disk, erase contents and copy your files onto it!!! good luck !

To make a floppy disk bootable, stick it in the internal disk drive, open a CLI, and type:

install df0:

That's all there is to it.
