OneLoad64 Games Collection v4 is here! (C64)
Okay, so the day has finally come to release v2 of the OneLoad64 Games Collection into to the wild. There are now 1001 unique games included. The key points of note for this release are:
A download link for the updated collection can be found in the description of the YouTube release video: [ Show youtube player ] Thanks to everyone who has supported the project thus far, it is really appreciated. I fully understand this collection is not for everyone, as many people prefer scene releases with intros and trainers. But I am still confident that there are use cases where people will also enjoy this type of collection. Now I just need to start prepping for v3! Please do keep the game suggestions coming in. Enjoy! Not sure I understand this, but it appears that all those C64 games are saved in cartrdige format?!
I will check it out, wonder if those new CRT will work with C64 Max. Thank you! |

Indeed, each of the games in the Originals folder has been dumped using the MC monitor in an emulator and then converted to Magic Desk CRTs, uncrunched PRGs and crunched PRGs (using Exomizer).
The CRTs should work fine on the Maxi as VICE supports the Magic Desk CRT format. |

That is great! Thank you!
ps. I had no idea there was CRT for Turrican games either. This makes running games on Maxi even easier. Not to mention with Launchbox + Any emulator it should be also much easier to add C64 games, especially 2 disk games. |

Excellent - I can use this to update my SD2EIC collection as it's pretty random and very poorly organised.
Thanks. |

Sadly these didn't work on my C64 .
I tried the compressed and uncompressed PRGs as suggested in the documentation but none of the ones I tried worked. Not sure if this is because I have an old SD2IEC? |

Damn, that's a bummer. I have had other users report success with the crunched PRGs, which are just compressed with Exomizer. I assume other PRGs have been working fine for you? How about if you place inside a .D64?
Sorry, I don't have an SD2IEC myself. Maybe someone else here can shed some light on this, or maybe try them with an SD2IEC too? Last edited by StatMat; 23 February 2021 at 22:06. Reason: Clarification |

No - I tried uncompressed too and the few I tried just crashed! Will have another go later as it may have been me being stupid as I haven't used the C64 much. Will let you know.

Okay, so I reached out to one of my contacts with an SD2IEC and he's confirmed the crunched PRGs are working fine for him. The uncrunched versions however won't work on the SD2IEC because of their size (i.e. they are too big to load in one go).
Anyway, he said he was using the NAV 9.6 browser, as opposed to the more traditional CBM FileBrowser (fb64), as he has found it more reliable at loading things himself. And I guess it'd be worth checking out your SD2IEC firmware version perhaps too? Really hope you can get things up and running. |

Yeah, the crunched PRGs should work fine with the Tapecart. The archive also includes Tapecrt (.tcrt) compilations of the whole collection.
