After some advice
Hey guys - sorry for this to be a first post and I wish I'd found out about this site before now.
I'm selling an A1200 I bought a few years back and it's got a 68030 40mhz expansion board in it with 4mb ram chip and also what I think from memory is a 6GB hard disk but it's only showing 2GB. I think with my limited knowledge of Amiga stuff at the time I couldn't get it to format past 2GB. I'm wondering what is a realistic price to be asking for this on Ebay or wherever. It's pretty much mint condition and hardly used. All manuals and original WB disks etc and a 2nd floppy drive and joystick too. Thanks in advance. |

It very much depends on what type of Accelerator card is installed but to give you a rough idea a similar setup sold today on eBay for £141.99 - you can search on eBay for completed listings to get an idea but its not an exact science as each setup seems to find its own price at auction.
You can also sell via a forum such as Amibay it's not an auction site though, you must state a price for your item and it is sold on a first come first serve basis in the order of interest declared in the thread. Old version of HDToolBox can show your drive as 2gb, I remember a similar issue, of course with correct setup it is possible to use the full 6gb it will take some advanced knowledge. All the best with your sale. Steve. |

Cheers for the reply Steve.
I've been tryin to find out what board it is but having no luck. It's got a vendor ID of 8738 and a product ID of 5 under the expansion board thing when you boot with both mouse button down but that doesn't mean a thing to me. At least I know what kind of ballpark to be asking for. Thanks again. |
