Serious software that was so much fun

I was thinking about the creative and other serrious software that was on the amiga that was actually fun to play with.

An example would be Candy Factory Pro. I loved this little program. the effects were fun, and it was just nice to play around with.

My other favourite was Photogenics. I loved the inteface, and the drawing/manipulation tools. The tear off menu was very clever and innovative at the time, and actually having a visual of the effect was cool, but the point is that using the tools was fun!

Anyone else got favourites?

I used to love fiddling with imagine's Procedural textures.

exploring Fractals in mand2000

Fractals to landscapes in Vista Pro, as well as rendering out pictures of Mars.

Random music genereation, not sure of the name of the program now.

Morphing friends and family members in cinemorph.

Changing the samples for MOD files (about as musical as I got).

Generally trying to run stuff I wasn't supposed to, such as windows 3.1 via MacOS.

Deluxe Paint 4. Spent plenty of time trying to do cool things with it, and always failed The color cycling was a fun thing to play around with.

3D Construction Kit. Sadly I didn't have a legal copy and so I didn't have a manual, and I couldn't do much programming with it. The only basic programming lines I knew were what I saw on screenshots of an Amiga Action review, but with some guess work it was enough for me to trigger cubes to fly around and such! Those were my first steps into the wonderful world of programming, I've been lost ever since.

But yeah, like usual memory was a big limiting factor. For example in later years I had some fun with Comic Setter, but after one or two pages it was usually out of memory on my bog standard A500 with a 512k expansion :/
