Competition Pro Extra Microswitches

hi ,bought a Competition Pro Extra Joystick from a flea market and while it sort of works ok id like to replace the switches.

its a Competition Pro Extra Joystick Clear version with microswitched fire buttons instead of leaf springs. It also has a 3 way autofire switch at the back
But having a problem finding the type i need(never done this before)
the only writing on the switches i can find yeilds no results .

Fire Button (Blue switches)
MG2c20

Direction Switches(Black Switches)

no numbers, just says- Acehall Zero Plus on them.

If anybody can point me in the right direction it would be a great help , many thanks

Try some arcade shops for "cherry switches". In reality many others make these, they are a standard sized industrial micro/limiter switch.

Yep, they're an industry standard format known as V3 microswitches. Any electronics supplier worth their salt will have a large range to choose from. Typically the actuation forces used for joysticks is between 1-2N, so get something in that range. If you have an accurate weighing scales, you can use that to determine the force of the existing switches by pushing down on the actuator while on the scales until it clicks. 100g is ~1N. Cherry, Omron and Honeywell are known good brands.

If you get a choice of contact layouts, get ones with COM and NO. The NC connection is not needed in this application and might make it more difficult to fit the switch inside the joystick.
