Huckleberry Hound on the Amiga, shit? I'll leave that for you to decide

Well It's Shit Game Time again and this time I've been asked to tackle a budget title (£9.99 if you can call that budget price) on the Amiga, It's Huckleberry Hound in Hollywood Capers.

This is a paid request by Youtuber "Ray C" who feels that even at this cheaper price It's still garbage for a 1993 Amiga game, so what do I feel about it?! Well check the video out and you'll find out

That seems like a very prestigious title. Someone should propose a SpaceJam 2 basketball game for the Amiga to Warner Bros. Make it like Larry Vs Bird but with cartoons and Michael B Jordan like the movie. Every time the backboard is broken a different toon and opponent should appear also include arbitrarily a hacking game every five goals where a toon squad member has to navigate through traffic.

such game is total garbage for 1993
perhaps during 1993 were done the best Amiga games ie turrican 3,chaos engine, cannon fodder, arabian nights, lionheart etc etc

if u compare this crap with the best titles from 1993, well...

That is surely written in AMOS or similar? Contracted out to school kids by the looks of it.

Proof that being technically competent doesn't make a good game.

Actually it is shit. Unimaginative, boring graphics and gameplay, poor animation of the main character (where are the moves shown in the box art?), insipid music and no sound effects. Doesn't matter that it is technically competent, when the content is shit.

Did the publishers spend so much on the rights that they couldn't afford to hire a competent designer? Or did they think they could get away with just rebranding a PD quality platformer? I don't blame the programmers, graphic artists or musician for this pile of shit - they did a competent job. But Hanna-Barbera should not have allowed their name to be put on it. They either didn't care, or they had no idea what the Amiga was capable of. Either way they did both themselves and the Amiga a disservice.

I call this shit for a different reason. Imagine as a parent that back in the day you saw a huckleberry Hound game and you thought it would be a fun game for the little ones. And then you get this weirdly themed platformer with snakes and other kind of monsters and the first levels are in some weird dark mossy cave. For who is this game exactly?
