Yes you can, you just use the JUMP spell to jump through the door, did you even read what I put on my website?
Vladyn from Lionheart is the character. It was released much earlier, but not in English. 5 years after it was published in German and a long time after Thalion and the Amiga were Dead and buried, I spoke to the Authors and they sent me an English version they had lying around. There are at least 15 bugs in the English version of Ambermoon (Mainly because it was never beta tested). Several Thalion Webshrine readers created fix's to almost all the bugs but they were hacks and never thoroughly tested. In the end, the original version works to the completion, so I thought they were not worth releasing. Last edited by alexh; 22 September 2006 at 01:28. |

Alex - your site mentions an Ambermoon walkthrough. Is it viewable on the site?

Might be useful to request a WHD install by one of the WHD guys (english version only). There is nothing worse than games with bugs that frustrate the player to death ... ![]() |

Nope. I've been slowly turning it from a txt file to a UHS file. In it's txt file its "too good" and when reading for a tip on A, you accidentally read how to do the next hours worth of gameplay and IMHO it ruins it.

@andreas
It doesnt need a WHDload. Almost all the bugs were infact typo's in "text files" which made the games scripting engine crash. What it needed was some dedicated beta testers who could play the game (with fixes) from start to finish (and not just 10 mins and say they did). To make sure the fixes didnt make things worse. |

@anyone who didn't yet solve the game: THIS IS A LITTLE SPOILER. If you want to find everything out in the game on your own, then do not read this posting.
![]() @alexh: I doubt that i am making a right guess since it's been too long that i finished Ambermoon and i can not imagine that you din't find that part, but did you make it to the teleporter(?) that brings you back in time (and let's you play amberstar within ambermoon)? As already mentioned i can not remember wether i found that ancient book and/or if i used it, but since that is a part which you do not need to solve the game, i was making this assumption. |

I dont remember this, there are 100's of references to the previous game, even some information you need from the previous game (Like the name of the cat you rescued, or the name of the Theif you met)

I have to correct myself: Since i am only remembering very vaguely, i was taking a search for that teleporter i was refering to and it seems it is Dragonflight, the first adventure of Thalion, which you are taken to. Not Amberstar:

Main enemy from Amberstar is Lord Tarbos alias Tar the Dark. You can recruit him in cellar of healer's house in Spannenberg.

There are lots of cross references to Amberstar and other Thalion games throughout the game. There is even a Thalion office in the game with all the characters who were people who worked for Thalion.

Please, help me !!
I have been playing Ambermoon for quite a while, and recenty I was forced to start over, because of lack of lockpicks etc. and other annoying mistakes made earlier in the start.. However, now I think my game is progressing very fine, expect for one stupid thing: how do I get Shandra's Amber ? (the gemstone Grandfather mentions early in the game) ? Now, I don't have it, and can't get it ?! Damn, I don't remember anything how I got it in my first game.. Sure, I had it! Please, help me! Give me ccurate advice, how to ask for it and how to get it ! I know it's a very important item in my quest ! Btw, I've deleted my old game saves... :-/ I don't want to start over again ... Help! |

You find Shandra's gem in your grandfather's cellar, use the torch to burn the spiderweb.

Errm that's not correct. You should get Shandra's Gem by completing your first task. Down in the cave under the cellar where the stones crashed down. There is some rubbish on the floor where you find the gem.
Hope that helps. |

Well, this cave should be in grandfather's cellar, iirc.

Yes but there is no need to burn the web in grandfathers cellar to retrieve the gem. Considering your post he would have searched the cellar not the cave beneath it.

I've played it ages ago, but i guess you have to ask the grandfather about the broken wall or something.

Yes that i mean with "first task". But the gem is not in the actual cave. It is loacated in the samll room you enter after climbing down the ladder. So it's really easy to get.
