There are already "arm" AROS versions but they are not updated, if you want you can use the graphics and my Icons and create your own version of AROS One Arm

Hi, simple question ~ I think I saw (correct me if wrong) that these builds include some Amiga games.

Did you have to obtain any special dispensations to use those games, or were they contribs to the project?

I supposed the other question is what limitations (if any) are involved with redistributing Amiga games, as available for free download and/or from the Amiga PD scene?

No on the Builds and on AROS One absolutely, there are no Amiga games, there are porting in the native AROS x86 format, also AROS x86 cannot run Amiga 68k games, only AROS 68k can, but at least in my Distributions there is nessu Amiga game.

- AROS One 68k supports Amiga games, but it is the user who has to get Amiga68k games

- AROS One x86 on the other hand supports Amiga Games but only Through emulation (Janus UAE), through Janus-UAE it also supports Amiga WHDload Games thanks to a nice native AROS GUI, see attached video:

In the next Release of AROS One v2.0, thanks to SMB2 it will be possible to connect to a share available on the network.

In theExtras/Internet/SMB2 folder is an example script for installation, also present aa set of icons to assign to the shared volume.

To install the icon it will be sufficient to click on the icon of choice, I attach screenshot showing the available icons.

To see the new icon on Wanderer simply do a refresh of Wanderer from -> Wanderer Menu -> Bacdrop


I kindly ask some developer if he can create me a small GUI in Amiga Script for mountlist creation, thanks

I'm informing myself about AROS at the moment so I'm just curious, how does updating the OS work once installed. Does it require a complete reinstall or is there a upgrader so that settings, icons etc. stay the way they were?

With each update it is better to reinstall the whole Operating System, I say this because both the Core and the third-party software have been updated.

Obviously before proceeding move your personal data, to install the new Operating System, you have to boot the ISO, quickly format the Hardisk and then run InstallAROS, if you use a Pendrive it will only take a few minutes.

In addition, many configurations, Themes and Icons have also been updated by me.

On AROS One there are 4 Types of Icons, with one click in a few seconds you will be able to replace all system icons in a few seconds (a thousand).
