Starting an Amiga blog

Ive been meaning to do more writing and especially do writing that isn't work, so why not the Amiga?

The first intro post and a second post giving a quick overview of the system I use is up, along with some plans for what I intend to cover. Swing by, drop a follow or however it works (I am testing out Medium for the first time) and all that good stuff.
The plan is to do a blog from the perspective of someone who isn't much of a hardware hacker, can't solder for shit and doesn't have 12 A4000s in a dedicated mansion In other words, as the title says, an every day user (who is kind of dumb).

I have a site as well and bring up the Amiga reasonably often, but set aside a page dedicated to my Amiga history https://www.xpd.co.nz/my-amiga-history/

Its actually fun reminiscing about the "old" days via a blog/forum

Will pop by occasionally for updates

Hi, please consider having a gemini version of your amiga blogs so we could read them from even a low speccy amiga.

Thank you very much and thanks for linking your page as well. I'll check it out!

I'll have to figure out what I can do to make it retro friendly, good call.

The first gaming post is up: A slight overview and retrospective of the Amiga Battle Isle games

"Don’t get too frustrated. The game is very random and even the best laid plans can get foiled by the mixture of the dice and cards"

Thats putting it mildly, IMO. The RNG in the game is essentially Russian Roulette. I don't enjoy the game very much because of it. I mean take this video:

[ Show youtube player ]

At minute 4 an enemy just comes waltzing out of a blind corner, rolls a 22 and it's game over for one character, literally right out of the gates. Punished for doing the only thing possible, thanks RNGesus.

Todays post discusses the Alien Breed games, again with an eye towards folks who have heard of them but aren't sure where to start.
Recent posts include my thoughts on picking out joystick and mice.
