App to read tracks/sector and save to file

Hi,

Can you please give me names of system friendly app that can read sectors/tracks and save them back to a file?
I use to do that with a tool written by a friend (not released) and I struggle finding any on Aminet
I know that Resource and Asmone can do this but a little app should exist no?
Thanks

Here is one with source code. As mentioned in PM it reads sectors rather than tracks, so you have to multiply numbers by 11 resp. 22.

Another possibility would be to extract the needed portions of an ADF file.

There's a program called MegademoTracker. (I wrote it like 30 years ago) It can do all that. You can find it on ACU Utilities disk 29 (google that, its on archive.org)

I think Quarterback Tools (Deluxe?) had a function like this.

There is the DEV-Handler out in aminet which allows you to access the entire disk as a single file, thus once mounted,

Code:
copy DEV:DF0 to RAM:Image.adf
would create an entire image of a disk in RAM:. The handler comes also with a re-implementation of the Linux "dd" utility which allows you to extract parts of the entire disk (or any other file, for that matter).

whdload has "DIC": floppy disk => disk image or parts of disk images.

Very good tool, has been there for a while (25 years IIRC)
