For each downloaded video a text file is generated that includes the information of the video, if you delete it the video will no longer be "found/remembered".

It would be fantastic to download the video without any conversion, in this way the video would be downloaded quickly and in good quality.

In this case the player must be FFPlay which supports all video formats plus Volumes, but this would require a powerful Amiga, so only suitable for WinUAE.

From the good ALB42 here is the version compiled a special version by AmiTube for i386 AROS ABIv0 and ARM AROS.

Using FFplay was a good idea as I get strange results from Riva.

Yes Riva does not have a good compatibility, much better Frogger !

FFPlay is unbeatable because it supports many audio and video formats such as MP4, M4V, MKV, MP2, VOB, AVI, DivX, XVID, MOV, FLV, ASF, WMV, MP3, WMA, RM, RAM.

If you don't like the Internal GUI on FFPlay you can disable it by adding a parameter on AmiTube.

Sorry for hijacking. Arm Aros? I'm aware of hosted Aeros and latest pistorm efforts but did I miss some previous fully functional native Aros Arm builds?

I only follow AROS x86 and AROS 68k, but AROS also exists for other platforms even if we're talking about less up-to-date stuff:

- linux-i386-system
- linux-x86_64-system
- mingw32-i386-system
- pc-x86_64-boot
- android-arm-system
- linux-arm-system
- linux-ppc-system
- efika-chrp-ppc

You can use the same parameter on the Workbench on the icons associated with a video, in this case the parameter must be included on a small "executable" script

Personally, I'd like to run the download/conversion daemon on my own local network instead of relying on ALB42 to run a single, centralized instance of it himself.

ALB42 continues to amaze, now it has developed "AmiTube AROS Downloading" which allows you to watch Youtube videos with MPlayer at the desired video resolution.
