As long as you have different means to transfer games to PS2 or plan to take disk out every time you want to add new game, you should be OK.

My PS2 still gets used thanks to this upgrade.
I run games via PS2 OPL on PS2 slim. Great app and games run smooth off network... although mine has internal modchip fitted so running of DVD/CD is also an option.

It is so portable. I'm impressed that Sony managed to make it so compact!

Enjoy playing lightgun games on my CRT with this (in fact it was the reason I got it).

You can also run some emulators like Amiga and SNES. They work pretty well - the latter seems to run at native resolution which is great!

Really? I have the Linux pack and not whatever interface came later (are they the same?). Not that I'm using the network much, I just have a HD-installer utility I bought which I was intending to mirror from the old IDE onto a new SSD.
(Does anyone know what filesystem they use? HD Advance 3.0.)

It's simply called the Playstation File System aka PFS. I don't think the PS2 is powerful enough for Amiga emulation btw. At best, it can emulate a good deal of the Neo Geo catalogue with a few minor issues.

Care to offer an extended ADF of it Denis ? I'd like to bring a surprise out to a friend. Believe it or not, he registered here to offer his help for a French translation of that very game!

Correct as per this video (which is why Xbox original was so highly rated for emulation and coin ops till the RPi took the lead):

Not at all. All I know about decrunching is the fancy color cycling while it's taking place.

Edit : Aaaah, it's not a localized version of Rocket Ranger you ordered, sorry for any misunderstanding.

Sherlock: The Riddle of the Crown Jewels. I'll add the scans to HOL this weekend. And I've only just noticed the HOL name for it has been wrong for the last 19 years or so...

3 rare? Amiga games (although calling them games may be pushing it a bit). They are railway signalman simulations by Ashley Greenup.

Thanks to Cody I now know there are quite a few of these simulations for various other platforms like the C64 and Spectrum. I don't think these were generally known to exist on the Amiga until now. (but please correct me if I'm wrong).
