The only question is why the Amiga version so slow, I think it could be much better... Surely can beat the MD version. I know, Sega would not support more an opponent from the era, but still...

That video is nice, but the sound is really putting me off. That guy's voice and pronounciation are not so easy on the ears, and the in-room recording has some classic pr0n type echo to it. Also sometimes game sounds are to loud so you can't listen to him at the same time.
Hope it gets improved for the second episode. |

Okay review. Its always nice when the reviewer is totally into the game itself, and this guy is completely hot for After Burner
Never got very far in that game, it moves so fast - I couldn't see what was going on when I was little, I still can't. |

Nice enthusiasm for a loved game
I would say however that the original game itself isn't very good no matter what the version- it's no Space Harrier that's for sure.Brilliant music though and it was jaw dropping back then.Climax is a much better game |

great review and professionally presented..sound needs addressing but other than that it's very well done..but..you need to review more exclusive Amiga reviews

Amiga version is slow only when you can compare to other (MegaDrive) version. I think NES version was unofficial (by Tengen?). And how about some words about After Burner 3?

Indeed a 1:1 port, plus the Saturn version supports the 3D pad analog stick. btw: the European C64 version from Activision sucks, but the US version from Mindscape is pretty good for a 8-bit Computer.

I was quite taken by the PSP version of Afterburner -
I have to admit - I found most home computers and consoles woe-full in their impressions of after burner - yeah the Megadrive and Amiga were good - but I am an arcade purist to be honest - hence why I have HUGE issues with home versions of r-type! so for the time spent telling me about the game I feel I should give something back. Pro's 1. A lot of passion and memorabilia was shown for the game. 2. Lots of screenies and clips of multiple versions - of which a good dedication to the biggest home ports 3. A good shot of the machine loading and storing mechanisms - from carts - tapes - disks and CD's 4. A good level of knowledge show about the game 5. Good commentary and fair views of the product Possible improvements 1. Slow down the speed of the speach - I know the tube is limmited to 10 minutes but it would be better to do two parts. 2. A little more Base in the microphone - the top end is a litte tinny. Other than that - great stuff!!!!! Theres lots of multi-platform games and I think in a lot of ways you have found a niche of games reviews. - exploiting the multi-platform approach of games - As mentioned before I am also looking forward to a Street Fighter 2 review - perhaps a Double Dragon or Ikari Warriors. I know the guys (and girls) over at retro-gammer will welcome the review - and would provide honest feed back for what you are doing right and how to improve other areas. I suppose the most important thing to ensure it that you enjoy your reviews =D =) |

HUH!?!?!?!
Ill have some of what your smoking please. PSP version was the worst version I have ever played. Like the reviewer, I love the original Arcade version. Playing it on mame is so cool, when its hooked up to a large screen TV. |
