Amiga Longplay Videos

Been messing with AF as usual and wondered if it was possible to use the videos dir for something more than watching the AF DVD's.

I always like watching the Amiga LongPlay videos off of Youtube and it struck me that it might be possible to use AF to store some info for them and use AF as a launcher.

This is what I came up with. AF can launch .mp4 or DVD (only problem I have with DVD is, I get no sound?)

Try watching the DVDs and/or mp4/mkv videos in MPC-HC instead of Windows Media Player.

This is without a doubt the best media player for Windows and my player of choice.

No, it doesn't need any codecs installed, it plays pretty much anything you throw at it, including .flv videos leeched from YouTube.

Yes, it's good. No Codecs is a bonus too.

Well yes & no. The problem's not with any player it's just any player that's called from AF to run the DVD.

I've contacted Cloanto about it and they have said it should work from AF but it doesn't for me.

I've tried re-installing AF but the problem remains. I can only think that something is amiss with my Win7 Install or the DVD's I'm burning have a problem somewhere.

I used Windows DVD maker and tried a few others to make DVD's then burned them or made .iso's with Imageburn.

As I told Cloanto, I don't have the DVD's that come with some versions of AF so I can't fully test them. That's one of the reasons I switched to using .mp4 files instead.

I'm pretty much done with DVD's to be honest, you cant fit many longplays on them anyway. Best use of a 4gb disc is as a data disk for the mp4's.
