good Mario Kart clones?
- Tooncar Racing (PC)
- Rascal Racer (PSX) - Smurf Racer (PSX) - Lego Racers (N64, PC), I don't like Lego Racers 2 - Konami Krazy Racers (GBA) - Bump'n'Burn (Amiga) any more? |

I know this game from SNES or Megadrive. It's average for me.

Atari Karts is ultra smooth but with very short and flat tracks. I don't know any Nuon emulator. Diddy Kong Racing is excellent but it's just Mario Kart 64 with new tracks and characters.

Nuance is the only one I know of. Unfortunately the author Mike Perry, known in the NUON scene as “Riff”, died just over a year ago.
It supports Merlin Racing. You need a quite powerful PC to get close to full frame rate. Last edited by alexh; 17 September 2008 at 13:59. |

Most of the Mario Kart games are pretty much the same. However it would be nice to see a clone with some new features |

Street Racer is good. But you should really play the Sega Saturn version. Best of all variants.
