Hi Lisko and all!
Sorry for the long silence, life is keeping me busy and away from my Amigas Yes, I'm still working on it albeit slowly... I want to try with the new HiP first thing... and then the ReAct UI that should be lighter and cleaner than the MUI one Anything else? Cheers! |

Hi all!
Hope that you're doing well! Don't forget that with AmiModRadio, you can rate modules but also play only good modules Let's be honest: many (many!) modules out there are... bad... but AmiModRadio can skip those and either play only novelties or play only highly-rated modules Check out the preference page and the four before last options! Check out also the list of rated modules! Cheers! |

with latest AmiModRadio and MUI4.0 I'm getting 'MUI_Redraw() task mismatch' popup as soon as I hit the play button and then get system reset on my A4000?
Don't have any issues with other MUI programs. |

In previous posts we have discussed extensively the problem "MUI_Redraw", this happens "only" with newer versions of AmiModRadio if you use MUI4 and MUI5.
No problem if you use MUI3 or if you use Zune (MUI clone on AfA OS) in case of AROS 68k. |

Hi all!
I hope that you're doing well and will forgive the delay in fixing the annoying MUI-related MUI_Redraw "bug" But, I have finally fixed it, I believe!, and tested it with MUI 5.0 I'd like your feedback before releasing this new version... Please, could you (AMIGASYSTEM in particular ) test this new version and let me know if it's okay now on your systems? Thanks in advance! Tygre PS. BTW, on a 3.1 classic system, which MUI version greater than v3.8 would you recommend? v3.8 works very well for me but the MUI program v5.0 crashes on my system, so I cannot adjust font sizes, etc. Update: I downloaded the latest 20211012 and I don't have this crash anymore! Strangely, though, the screen title bar "blinks" when AmiModRadio displays its info. message at the bottom of its window Last edited by tygre; 15 February 2022 at 16:51. |

Done some tests, with my systems AfA One and updated MUI5 works perfectly no problem, works fine also with Amikit and AmikitXE, the problem "MUI-related MUI_Redraw" still remains on AmikitX, I have not verified the cause.

I wonder why AmiModRadio would behave differently on AmiKitX than on the others... Are they maybe using different versions of MUI? Cheers! |

No it does not depend on MUI, I installed MUI5, I think it depends on some configuration, as soon as I have some time I will try to find out, maybe it's just some of my saved settings.
Also tested OS 3.2 RTG MUI5 and also here no problem. |

@ tygre
thanks for the update! good news is that the MUI_redraw issue doesn't come up BUT bad news is that I get immediate system crash after hitting play button on my system (OS3.2, MUI4.0) |

Unraveled the mystery, comparing systems I discovered what generated the error "MUI_Redraw". In practice, the error is caused by a parameter in the file "AmiModRadio" located in the path "SYS:Prefs/Env-Archive/". should_show_log_page_on_fetch = 0 (OK no error) should_show_log_page_on_fetch = 1 (generates MUI_Redraw error) Tested also OS 3.2.1 RTG MUI5, also here no error, see screenshot @ klx300r Strange i don't have any error with OS 3.2 and 3.2.1, if your OS 3.2 includes parts of different OS it could be that you have conflicts. Hi all!
Thanks a lot! Very happy that it works well now! @AMIGASYSTEM, I think that I fixed this new problem, could you please try with this new version and let me know? @andyhants, very glad @klx300r, I can't reproduce this crash: same as AmigaSystem, I tried clicking on the "Play" button before, during, and after playing modules. Could you give me more steps to reproduce it? As AmigaSystem wrote, it could be due to either AmigaOS v3.2, MUI v4.0, or their combination with some other components Take care! |

tried with the latest beta2 exe and it works great now only issue I have is songs keep repeating until I hit the forward button where as before after each mod it would search for a new one. I'm running a brand new fresh install of OS3.2.1 Last edited by klx300r; 16 February 2022 at 06:01. |

If you are using HippoPlayer it happens to me too, maybe there is something to set on HippoPlayer. If you are using EaglePlayer instead, as soon as you finish a mod, another one will be automatically searched. |

Hi klx300r and AMIGASYSTEM!
Very happy to read that AmiModRadio works well for you now I haven't used HiP for a while, let me try but thanks AMIGASYSTEM for confirming that it works with EaglePlayer! It works well also with DeliTracker. Cheers! PS. Update: I just tested HiP v2.50 and the "autoplay" works for me here... Maybe there's something to configure in HiP: in the prefs window, under "General", I have "Play List Once" and "Continue on error" Last edited by tygre; 16 February 2022 at 15:21. |
