Want TOSEC'd ADFs

I have a generous amount but since I seem unable to get TUGID to rename my files which are checked to work on A1200s etc it seems easier just to buy some CDs with TOSEC'd files on.

Am I allowed to request such things here?

and thats supposed to be easy to use?????

Maybe its cos the "official" website link for the TOSEC file is dead!?!?

I just want to run a util that scans thro my files and tells me what I have renaming as needs be. TUGID *should* do that.... I just think the DAT files dont cope with my files

Ah, yes it is, try out this helpful guide

http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/clrmameguide.htm

I have to say that like you, I was first intimadated by CLR the first time I used it. You do have to review the interface a little bit to get a feel for it, but I think you'll find it invaluable after a short learning curve

Got TUGID working. Its a royal pain in the arse....

1) Does not scan all Amiga files in one go... you have to select each Dat file. If you try ALL it does nothing. I want one DAT file for AMIGA not 20-30....

2) It does not scan sub-dirs properly...

So anyway, after much time I have a big set of nicely named files but incomplete. Where can I get more... tried eMULE and Kazaa ... is there some secret source?

The TOSEC Dat files are split that way because theres so many files. A single Dat would be huuuuuge.

I use Romcenter to scan/rename then switch to Tugid to rescan as once scanned it becomes a useful visual record of my TOSEC collection. Tugid does not insist on rescanning dirs every time you change dat files, AFAIK no other renaming tool does this.
I don't use Tugid to rename/scan unknown files because I find it awkward to use that way (cos of the way the dir paths are set up).

As for grabbing TOSEC files try Sharereactor links for eDonkey etc. Useless for me sadly as I have a ISP with a two hour kick and lose my queue position everytime.
