another youtube amiga vid
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=IS-NYK-8KL0
A friend passed me this. Don't know if this has been posted before, but I didn't want to keep it from you all. It is a fun video where a couple of geezers talk about the Amiga and even examine the motherboard and the OS. They are really wowed by the multitasking ![]() |

I may not be pushing 40 yet, but I still have fond memories of my atari 2600
![]() I gave a presentation for my english class about 'why NOT to be a game programmer'. I showed pictures of games throughout the years and how they grew in complexity (ending with Crysis of course), commenting on what games I had actually owned myself and I too spoke of the "good old days". The teacher was like "the good old days? How old are you???" I felt really old in that moment, nobody in the classroom had ever played or even seen the old games that I showed. |

Well it beats "Wondere Wereld" on theme music alone.
Then again, 26 is prolly too young to remember that "wonderfully" hi-tech programme. |

Ah, the micro user - a strangely great series...
...I'm old enough to remember it well. Funny; in the space of a few minutes an ex-children's TV presenter not only demo'd all that was great about the Amiga compared to everything about @ the time, he obviously got what the Amiga was all about, flagged the issues with regard to price & pointed out the folly of marketing this kind of computer to business. All of this perceptiveness at a time when 8bit systems were pretty much all that was available. Fred Harris I salute you! ![]() ![]() How different things could have been if C='s management & marketing had understood their own computer a 10th as well. |

I guess we all feel like David Bowie in this clip now. Getting older and remembering and seeing the past....
