Xenon 2 CDTV version - full

I am trying to track down the FULL version of CDTV edition of Xenon 2.
I've come across a couple that are missing the CD audio, but that is the part I am most interested in.

Unfortunately it isnt as good as it should have been. Simenon ruined it with stoopid black-rapper joke crap. "dance the boogie", please!

Aha, I saw that before but the link seemed dead. Looks like the server is not always up. I've managed to connect now.

Anyone know where I might /buy/ an original copy?

eBay is your only hope.

You'll never get an original copy for under £50-£100 cos people think it is worth a fortune.

Beware there are lots of pirate copies being sold on eBay by a large counterfeit operation in Swindon who are connected to two ex-Amiga shops called Epic and Foremat. They are quite easy to spot! They have similar layouts and

I do wish we could get Thames Valley Police, Trading Standards, Crimewatch, Nintendo (ANYONE!!) to listen and nick these people.

Yes, I know who you mean. I have some pirated stuff from them which was advertised as genuine. They used to advertise in Retro Gamer when it first started out.

Their paper trail was so easy to follow... you can work out their names and addresses and see websites of them spending their stolen money on philanthropic things (such as they tried to fund a film!)

There's an ISO version of Xenon II CDTV that's being doing the rounds for a few years that seems to have a problem with the audio tracks. When browsing the tracks in the menus, all seems fine for about the first half of the tracks, and then they go out of sync with the menu (ie. listening to track 12 when the menu shows track 11) as if there's a missing track.

@MethodGit: It would certainly be very much appreciated if you could upload an image of an original disc.

Steve.

Well, yes, a thing is worth what its buyer will pay for it...

They were selling dodgy copies of Octamed a little while ago. I let the current copyright holder, Ray Burt Frost(?), know and he contacted eBay.

I bought stuff from Epic /years/ ago without issue. Surprised that they might be connected with this.

I'll keep watching eBay.

If you remember there were two companies named Epic in the Amiga world.

It would appear that the people who run the Butterfly Media counterfeiting ring in Swindon read these forums!! Perhaps they are even someone we all know here!

They have changed all of their ebay templates and secured the gfx on an offsite intermediary website so you cannot tell from the auction html instantly that it is them.

They are still very easy to spot.

Lol, maybe it is you! Or maybe it is me!

On a totally unrelated topic:

I seem to recall that I didn't have to pay much for my original off eBay a few years back. Maybe I just got lucky.

If you're referring to the graphical template used, then simply going by that isn't exactly reliable. Here's a US seller who uses pretty much the same template.

Oh, almost forgot : I've put the CloneCD version from TheBoss' FTP to the EAB file server in the folder 'CDTV'. So now it's available 24/7

I have bought from recho2002, and it was original games. It didnt say it was used in one time, but all worked fine.

But with the Classic Amiga games, its clearly a rip off. He even writes it comes in new sealed DVD cases... So I aslwo wish they would get out of business!!

These are the CD inlays provided in lieu of proper covers for all the pirated software I received from Butterfly Media in Swindon.
