A suggestion, why not make a harddrive version that you can quit without needing whdload?
I ran the CD32 exe-version fine from workbench but I didn't find a way to quit it.

A little request: Could you please add:

Shoot = Fire1 when moving
Lightning =Fire1 when still

to the customized CD32 pad controls as an option? It's nice to have a dedicated button for "Lightning", but it feels so intuitive to use it that way. I don't want to use the joystick & keyboard combined controls. Would be best of both worlds imo.

And maybe a slower text speed in the story?

With the new version the palette looks screwed up at start. It switches to normal as soon as the demo starts at the bottom.
I'm using the NTSC version on an A1200 with OS3.9 and latest WHDLoad.

Would be useful to know if anyone else with NTSC Amigas see (or don't see) this. I can't get it to happen in WinUAE, and this is the only report like this I have had, but I'm not sure how many people play the NTSC version. Not that it should be any different...

Are you using the normal icon to launch the game with? And what hardware expansions are you using?

I'm using a Blizzard 1230@50MHz and 64MB FastRAM. And I tried both, the normal and the NOCACHE icon with the same result (tried some other settings too).
Oh, and I don't have a NTSC Amiga. I use the NTSC slave on a PAL Amiga with the NTSC option set. I often prefer the NTSC version of a game because of the bigger screen. Did not try the PAL version yet...

Just tried the NTSC WHDLoad version on my A1200 PAL (in NTSC mode) with a ACA 1233n turbocard. Everythings fine, no graphics issues at the title screen at all.

But man, this NTSC version sucks. I find it nearly unplayable. Turrican 2 is a native PAL game. All timings are off in NTSC, way too fast. Just like in the US Amiga version of Turrican 1.

Never mind. Perhaps there was something screwed up with my system yesterday. I just checked the PAL version and it looked fine. So I rechecked the NTSC version just to be sure and - guess what - it looked fine too.
Forget everything I wrote previously. There's nothing wrong with that release.

I don't think I thanked you but this is an amazing new version which works great with THEA500 Mini! The definitive version of the game with in-built save states! I might even be able to complete it now!

Hi Muzza. Huge thanks for this

But here is a HUGE design flaw that i found.

(not speaking of the Pushover bosses that can be defeated withing 5 second - 10 seconds )

Look at this Waterfall in World 1-2 where normally would be steps/stones.
(before the "boss" in 1-2)

If you fall down there and direct turrican into the right side... there is NO WAY OUT !!!

In the original , there where steps to get back up,
BUT if you came down this Waterfall there is no way to get to the "droid friend"
to activate those steps again.

Turrican is trapped

I made a video so you can see what i mean : sorry for my voice;
since the last cold my voice its basically gone, so you have to turn up the VOLUME

https://eab.abime.net/zone/Turrican%...%20lol.zip.001
https://eab.abime.net/zone/Turrican%...%20lol.zip.002

I also found that the Graphic glitch in 3-2 on Mist is really strange.
If i use the Trainer to jump there, everthing is alright.
When i use a savegame, its alright.

But if i play there, BOOM, 99% ist there that graphic glitch.

I found out that this stripes have exact the same size and pattern
as the "hyper fast flight" level background of 3-3.

Something is up with 3-2 because its the only level that is not scrolling as the others.
Little jerky. Maybe because its "forced scrolling"... but something is not quiet right in 3-2.
(But if i use a save its fine...., really odd)

I also found other glitches like standing outside the screen before the Boss in 2-2.

This boss can also be beaten in 5-7 seconds. Whats up with that?
Bosses are way to weak in this. (playing on the normal difficulty)

Finished the game in 23 minutes and though; well i look at the Speed run highscore.
Silly me then realized there is a seperate Speedrun setting

Anyway, sorry for that amount of text.
This is still fantastic and i have so much fun with this

Thank you so much Muzza.

The bug here is that if you fall down the first waterfall, that tunnel should be blocked, to force you to fall to your death.
If you fall down the second waterfall (where the secret gems are), then the steps will appear correctly.
Not sure I agree on quite how huge this bug is but I've fixed it for a future update (if I release one).

Each of the levels use a different copper setup for different types of parallax. Unless someone finds it happens on a real Amiga, or WinUAE, there's nothing I can do. It has been a constant that some of the FPGA machines aren't emulating the copper 100% correctly. Vampires got a core update to fix it.

The boss healths are 100% match for the original. It took a lot of time to check this. The weapon damages are also the same. There may be other differences that account for boss being different though, such as collision regions. The bosses in the original weren't exactly hard. I just watched two videos (DOS and Amiga versions) and the 2-2 Boss was beaten in 16 and 9 seconds. If you are really beating it in 5 seconds, a video of it would be interesting so I could properly compare it to the original.
