Simon the Sorceror 2
I recently downloaded Simon the Sorceror 2 CD32 in nrg format. When I try to load it using Alcohal 120 it does not boot. I have no problems with other cue and bin images when mounted on Alcohol .
Are nrg images not compatible with winuae 1.2 with CD32 configurations ? Any help will be appreciated. |

Simon 2 is no CD32 game, it´s AmigaCD and you will need a full WB setup on HD, 030er cpu and at least 16megs of ram to run it !

Hi dlfsilver,
Is the file loaded in the floppy through Winuae ? Could you please explain. Thanks. P.S. Hi Crown, As soon as I can trace the site I will post it for you. I know I have it bookmarked but I have to go through my favourites folder. |

I think I tried it in AmiSys and I think it worked. But I prefere ClassicWB, it works with that one aswell and it's that WB I use for playing this game (in WinUAE of course).

Hello again Crown,
The site where you can download the game is: http://www.amigames.de/ There also more games available. There are 63 if I am not mistaken. |

Mount the "image" (iso, nrg...) with DaemonTools and then mount the CD in WinUAE and boot up ClassicWB with the CD mounted and play Simon 2.

Hi IronClaw
A couple of questions please. 1. Does it make a differnce if I mount the image using Alcohol 123 ? 2. How do you mount the cd using Winuae. I mean do you need a physical CD ? Do i have to burn the nrg file to a real cd ? If I am not confusing matters, Winuae can only mount adfs in the floppy drives. Thanks for any ifo you can supply. |

1. Donno, only used and will only use DaemonTools
2. When the Image has been mounted with DaemonTools, just goto "Hard drives" and press "Add Directory". Then give a Device name of CD0 (or whatever you prefere) and a volume label (like Simon).. then at path; navigate to your mounted CD (in my case k: )... Then just start the game from ClassicWB or something. |
