RDP with classic Amiga?

I used to RDP with Morphos back in the day and I miss it now.

Is there a way to RDP with a high end classic amiga (060@80 MHz/PPC, Mediator w/Radeon/Lots of Memories) to a windows 10 box?

I think VNC was what I used (OK for windows 7) back when I did this as well.

This has been discussed before in various threads. See the last post as well as mine, amongst others, in the most recent RDP thread below and check the "Similar Threads" section at the bottom for older threads on the same topic.

I had trouble getting to the site mentioned (maybe it's just me) but it's available on the Internet Archive if anyone else has similar problems

Strange, no problems with that French website on a few different browsers (Firefox/Palemoon, Chrome/Brave/Vivaldi) here.

I've definitely used a RDP client on a 68060 Amiga.
This would have been in the early 2000s. Miami would dial my work number, negotiate and hang up. The work server would call me back

Worked great! Even over dialup RDP is useable - until a program drew a splash screen!

Most of the time I would just be clicking on a button to restart the servers for an upgrade.

Windows 10 rdp has some new security features that make connecting from older clients like Windows XP problematic. There are some details here: http://woshub.com/windows-xp-rdp-can...n-server-2012/

I haven't tried it, but I doubt an Amiga rdp client is going to work better than Windows XP SP3. You could try turning off the extra security in Windows 10 rdp server, as detailed in the article. I seriously would not do that on a server owned by my employer though...

MorphOS RDP client doesn't work with the default Win10 settings anymore either. Here's some tips how to get it work: https://library.morph.zone/Applications/RDesktop

The same would probably help with a 68k client too.

Well, one person in the thread I mentioned above VNC'd from his A4000 to a Win 10 system using VVA (VNC Viewer for Amiga; last release in Sept. 2000). Unless recent Win 10 updates have buggered things up, it would seem to be the OP's best bet.

Big grin

Here's a screenshot from my Amiga taken just now, with my VVA tooltypes and TightVNC Server settings. Hope this is helpful.
