Personal Paint crashes continuously

Hi mates!

I am using Personal Paint in FSUAE (Mac) and all my attempts to open a JPEG finish in crash. Is PPaint capable of working with JPEGs? Does anyone of you have the same problem? How you fix it?

PPaint is 8 bits per pixel only. JPEGs are typically 24 bit truecolor images. If emulating a graphics card, try PerfectPaint instead. That might work.

PPaint is perfectly able to load JPEGs (and many other 24-bit image types), and renders them down to the selected screen depth using the selected colour reduction algorithm as part of the loading process.

It's possible that the image is corrupt, or that your installation of PPaint is damaged somehow. What version are you using? Have you tried any other JPEG images?

Sorry guys! Was not PPain. Was Perfect Paint. So sorry!
I am trying now Photogenics and it seems that works. But still have some problems with big file sizes. I have some JPEGs in 5-6 mb and some TIFFs and still doesn't open. Only the files that are less thank 500k are opened. What you suggest?
I don´t want to retouch a picture. I only want an app to resize and to save from TIFF to JPEGs. I am also looking SVIEW 5 but it is some kind of difficult to understand.
