Thanks mate,

Just an A500 config with 0.5 mb of slow ram will do.

also a lot of post-its on the top of the screen to avoid thinking about Tiertex wasted 20% of the screen with useless title graphics.

This is why I said the game is a port from the ZX Spectrum. There's even evidence in the code that suggests they were working from the Z80 code template.

To be fair, we havn't got to be too harsh because at the time of the release of Rolling Thunder not many games used the Amiga's BPLCON1 scrolling capability.

Rtype uses it, but not in the same way Apidya does... so time really does play a factor.

I'd be interested to debate which games the Amiga did do horizontal scrolling properly at the time of the release of RT.

We can rename it Rolling Blunder
Am suprised the speccy version look decent ("look", then how it plays not sure)

By the way i remember in one of the Amiga stages - level 4 - there is an almost impossible jump, someone should edit the map, if not already done

The jump is spoken about the description of the longplay

But the gameplay shows jumping without problems at the lava part

Thanks for the hard work. Looks a LOT better than the original. But like @Galavad says this game needed hard fine scroll to do the game justice.

Nothing jumps out on HOL for 1987. Menace in 1988?

020 Relokick NoCache same as the above.

Marble Madness has a good scrolling in 1986. Got to check if this was hardware scrolling. But it was vertical scrolling...

Obviously I have but plainly the original runs at virtually a single digit frame rate (whatever the system) but the updated version now runs at a much higher FPS and is not limited, so the faster the system, the faster the game which them makes it unplayable beyond an A500.

Hence my question about limiting FPS to perhaps 25 on every system so that everyone can enjoy your good work?

Was curious about this one, while drinking my morning coffee, so I looked in the Lemon Amiga by year 1987, and found these 3.

The first one (Graffiti Man), actually impressed me, with big characters, colorful BG, smooth animation, even tho I bet the gameplay is awful.
