Unhappy A500 - Dead at cold power on - Random freezes

I'm looking to get some ideas to fix the issues on my rev 6a A500...

Two issues here:

#1. If the A500 has been off for a few hours, it does not boot on the first power up. I get a Power LED and a black screen. No activity at all.

#2. Random freeze or reset even when it is just idling at the desktop.

I have a TF536 installed, with an 3.X KS ROM and a Supra memory card/RTC with fresh battery. My PSU voltages check out fine. I don't have another A500 to try and swap out parts.

I have tried going back to the stock 68000 and 1.3 KS and no memory card, and that seemed to fix the issue, except that when I reinstalled everything it all seemed to worked fine. The next day I had the same issues.

Any ideas where I should be going with this?

The CPU socket.

It is possible multiple insertions of that TF have widened the pin holes and now you don’t have good contact.

Correction...

When I power on the Amiga after sitting off for a few hours I get the Rainbow flash on the screen from the TF536 initializing... THEN nothing happens. Just a power light. No activity on the CF adapter, no floppy noises.

Is there a "reset" circuit that initializes the A500 at power up? Possibly a bad cap there?

Very possibly. I plan on replacing the socket with a machined pin one, as well as the KS ROM socket.
