Is it a certain four letter abbreviation?

Several users have entered that, it's puzzling where people are getting this from.

#21 is a regular, well-known game - just the image is making it difficult.

February Quiz - Clues #1

Ready, Aim, Fire - you know the drill, this months "big gun" theme just takes it up a few notches. Twentyfive people are already in on this challenge, even though the difficulty is quite painful once again (oops?). Anyway, here is the first set of clues! Maybe you'll recognise some more titles now.

Clues #1:

1) The games 2, 13, 18 and 20 are famous J-RPGs.
2) Number 5 and 21 are installments of well known realtime strategy series.
3) With the titles 4, 7, 14 and 16 we can see first person shooters.
4) And game 9 is a western RPG highly praised for its grown up storytelling.

February Quiz - Clues #2

We are getting closer to the end of the month... just one week left to recognize every single one of these big guns! It's a tough round alright, so how are you all getting on?

So far there's 37 people playing, and none from this forum.

Here is the probably last set of hints:

1) Number 12 is originally an arcade game, but was also released on Dreamcast and Switch.
2) The planet in the background of #4 is Mars.
3) The screenshots 7 and 10 come from the Nintendo 64.
4) Title #5 was released in three parts.

I need a revisit of clue #4 in the first round of clues. Did you mean it's a wild west RPG or did you mean it's an RPG "from the west", as in not JPRG?

That gun doesn't look very wild-west to me.

It's the latter, so an RPG by a western developer in a western style, so for example no colorful anime girls with outlandish outfits and squeaky voices.
