HISTORY...AND FUTURE

I have read and received inquiries in this time since I successfully put the VGA adapter made with the original DB23 connector on sale. To date almost 800 units have been sold between forums and other online channels. Great success and appreciation for having an original DB23F connector on board (no DB25 cut!) and internal PCB

Many of you were bored by those annoying vertical lines that arise with the use of LED matrix (example Benq BL702A). This LCD monitor is one of the few monitors that allows you to almost completely obviate these "vertical bars" by adjusting the various parameters of meù such as the "pixel clock".

But not all LCD monitors / TVs (compatible with 15KHz) have this feature, so the result is images with these annoying vertical stripes which are really bad.


From today this will finally be just a distant memory.

With the new VGA ADAPTER with VLR system (vertical line remover) you can use any monitor / TV (compatible 15KHz) without having to change the image parameters (pixel clock, etc.)
Furthermore, the saturation / color of the RGB components is improved with the new adapter (you can see it in the second photo)

IMPORTANT NOTE:

*SVGA monitor must be able to sync the Amiga's 15Khz signal (most CRT monitors have no problem doing this). Some LCD monitors such as DELL U2410 or BENQ BL702A sync down and support 15Khz- check your monitor specifications for more information.
If your monitor does not support 15KHz, then you will not get a picture until the software drivers are installed and workbench is loaded.

Yes I know that it's amazing...but finally the problem of vertical lines can be solved

As you know not all monitors have the ability to adjust the pixel clock,ecc... so specifically this adapter is just like a miracle :-)

But even for monitors with such an option as the BENQ BL702A which allows you to enhance this effect ... now with the VLR Adapter the image will be truly perfect.

What kind of picture does this give on a flatscreen telly? I want to use d-paint 4 on my a1200 on a flatscreen and without blurry pixels.

I think good but not tested yet..I don't know if you are intereste to buy it and test it


I can also apply this improvement to the SCART connection, also eliminating the vertical bars effect in this case

In fact, even with a classic SCART connection you can see the vertical bars ... but with the VLR circuit everything is corrected

I've got one, and it does the job just fine IMHO. The S-Video converter that was implemented by the seller at the back of my 1 MB A500 now has a loose contact and I am too lazy / numb to fix it myself, so I thought it was the right time to take the VGA route, which was the right thing to do apparently. I use that Italian made adapter along with the UMSA (a VGA to Scart converter cable of sorts). As a reminder, I use a carefully chosen vintage tellys to convey the signal to, namely A 22'' Samsung flat tube CRT TV and a 15'' LG LCD TV.
What can I say ? The picture looks pristine on both TV's . Composite (S-Video I have been using until then with my previous setup) is Ok for very compact TV's / monitors, but bigger CRT TV's make a mess out of the colors, at least that's how I experienced things.
Since I don't have a standard db23 -> VGA to compare it to, it's hard for me to say if those ugly lines the OP is evoking would have affected my display on the LCD (assuming CRT's aren't affected at all) had I settled with the cheaper adapter.

Bought 2 recently for A4K and requested this. They arrived untouched and still connect okay.

They are okay devices. But don’t expect Scandoubler/Flickerfixer quality picture
You also need a monitor to accept 15khz signal.

exactly..no jaggie/pixelated like flicker fixers

For exampleif you connect adapter VLR to 15khz monitor like BENQ 702 (for example) the final result will be image without vertical line

DB23 female original

Cut only for cover shell..if you choose DB25-DB15 cover (check black adapter)

But I have also done in original DB23 cover..."Extreme" version and "Deluxe" version

Deluxe --> DB23 cover shell and DB15 HD external
Extreme --> DB23 cover shell and internal DB15HD
