this is what i bought and , Kipper you are correct, it is just turn key and awesome, and just swap the Sd and you can do other things with it, also portable, and there is a cartridge 40 pin on the back, so resembles a C64 or amiga 600. cant go wrong with this. |

The pi4, while I love it, is just an emulator at the end of the day. The V4 is an awesome, real Amiga, it is great for stuff that targets powerful machines, but it still has some way to go regarding compatibility for classic Amiga software (especially AGA titles). Having said that, compatibility is constantly improving.

I won't get drawn into bashing anything. I am just letting the thread know of the options available. And whether a specific platform is compatible or a work in progress Forgot to mention. The "Pistorm" is also a new option and open source. That is a Pi in an Amiga which makes it quite a nice amiga |

Actually you did by calling the V4 an emulator:
Funny for a person that built many of the first Vampire cards and is now involved in a competing FPGA Amiga project. |

If Pi is the same as MiSTer then I guess a child could be same as a midget also.

Ah, ok, I should have seen the anti-vampire, pitchfork wielding mob approaching.

i guess the main difference isnt speed, as the v4 and mister basically have the same brand FPGA, and the PI is a ARM. One is a closed source board, the other 2 are open do what you want with them boards.
for the price the Pi400 totally wins, if your just wanting to hook up to HDMI tv and play some games. and i dont know what a V4 costs and if they are even available, but a mister all setup is more then a pi400. |
