I would love to hear more about the copper blits saga. I once tried it for myself, but that seemed to go off-rail halfway through my list.
(Even on the C-One where I assumed it had to be my code changes that was tripping it, though I can't remember if I got it to work on my A4000 either.) |

Would it be possible for the trainer to limit the credits/continues somehow? Or is this something that can't be done because they are already unlimited by default? I have a very practical reason to ask this: My 2 boys (7 + 9 years old) LOVE the game and it's hard to get them to stop playing without tears getting shed. Unfortunately, as a parent I somehow have to limit their gaming efforts (well, some other parent is involved in this decision and who would want to disagree with her). It would (probably) be easier if I could start the game for them having let's say only 5 (or 10 or whatever) credits to go on and once they use them up, the game tells them "GAME OVER". That way, it's the game telling them that, and not ME, I'm totally innocent on this then... |

Yes, continues are unlimited by default. I've added the brutal 'force game over' key, but then you'd be the bad . Technically it is possible because I have under control the lives variable and I could put a counter that calls the 'force game over' when a threshold is reached. But it should be excluded from the trainer because it's the exact opposite We'll see... |

Yes and no... I have both expansions but the front one returns errors and triggers glitches and gurus while the side one is not seen at all... need to figure out how to fix it

Put the Amiga on a timer that shuts off after 30 minutes. That is sure way to stop their game play. |

I've added a limited play mode, but it's a bit peculiar... You can select a number of (shared) credits, but the first player that do a game-over and there is no more credits, the game instantly end even for the other player. If this is acceptable then I make an option to activate it (this will probably generate hatred between players in the same match, but it's somehow interesting ). |

Here's an idea: If a player does a game over and there are no credits left, you disable his firebutton, so he cannot join in again. Once the other player uses up his lifes, there will automatically be a game over. Once the which-level-have-we-reached screen shows, firebuttons for both players have to be activated again (needed to reach the Game-Over-screen and restart playing). Don't know it that's possible, for I don't know what mechanics of the game you exactly have control over and which not. What do you think? |

Just tried this one and it is very nicely done indeed. I don't know the arcade version but it surely looks much nicer than the original Amiga version.
It runs great on my current desktop Amiga although it isn't entirely standard: Amiga 500+ PAL, 2MB chip, 68020 35MHz with 7.5MB fast (68020TK), ZZ9000 (used as scandoubler here), KS 3.1.4.1. |

Great news, looking forward to this!
How about a little "cheat"? Like, type "goblue" to play as Bob in single player mode? =) |

- nasty on: no glitches (A1000 and A500 tested) - nasty off: glitches. Huge glitches on A1000. Original version running on A1000 like glitches on A500. This confirms (mostly) that nasty off + copper wait is broken. A1000 is even more broken than A500. Time to do some experiments.. |
