As I was lucky enough to get a special preview copy of this I always knew how good it was gonna be.

Its a superb piece of work and all the effort and long hours really show!

Great work Bippy! Looking forward to the Games DVD even more than I was this one

What stores will sell it in Sweden? Or is it so that the dvd is just sold online? Sad in such case since I have no creditcard.

Brilliant work, I LOVE it!

The 1.3 boot up screen is a great touch and the way the menu filters down into the screen – class! The name Flashback is perfect and the labels/art work is spot on.

Problem is, now I have to think of some suggestions for improvement….

...errrr…
…hmmm…

…ok, mind’s blank. The DVD in its current format works really well. Thanks for bringing great memories an arms reach away from my DVD player!!!

Got it...

Hello Bippy.

Thanks for the DVDs - yours is great.
I haven't gone through it completely but my first impression is VERY GOOD WORK!

For the DemoDVD I was just missing a few Fairlight/Virtual Dreams Demos.... like "Love"...

Remember the Odyssey 6 Disk Space Adventure Demo? That would be awesome, too...

perhaps for the next one?

I enjoyed it, got if off link on lemon amiga a while ago. nice compilation..
Funny this has come up because have you seen how some people have been reacting on amiga.org because someone else did a similar thing (and decided to start selling the finished product)

I once downloaded a v0.01 and burned. This doesn't played well on my standalone Pioneer 535.
Menu ok, but dies while playing.
Dont know if there is a newer version of the dvd, but should play on standalone players in my opinion. I would never look such a dvd on the pc.
So checking it for dvd standards would be good
However nice stuff!

It works perfectly on every DVD drive and standalone I have tried including my Panasonic HT870.. It is PAL only.. I'll consider NTSC later

I can't remember doing a 0.01 but it has changed alot since those early days and I am certain it conforms to DVD Standards (In screen sizes, menu structure etc)..

bippym,

Is there anywhere where this can be successfully downloaded? The downloads at files.amiganostalgia.com are still broken, terminating after 1.9MB are downloaded everytime.

can you give me yours for verification? if it is the same i would try to reburn the dvd to make sure the problem is not because of the burn process.

010670778d33446a0eb12b0486b76df2 the MD5 is the same...

Weird I gave it a 0.01 release version !!!

Anyway yours is the first I have had complaints about it working and about 20-30 ppl must have it by now...

Anyway I use DVDLab Pro to author the DVD so unless that is buggy I don't know.. I can probably recompile it with a new ver if needs be.

Hello bippym,
I have burned another copy with a different medium. The result is the same. It plays some seconds then sound distorts and it hangs. I can press Pause and Play then it plays for some more seconds.
The player is a Pioneer DV530, some years old now. Has played every commerial dvd and also several self burned ones so far.
I will test it tomorrow on a different player...
