I recently bought Cruise for a Corpse and sadly it was missing the poster. I recovered the high quality scan from HOL and cleaned it for A3 printing, with a white background (as for the budget editions).

I shared it on The Zone in case it is useful to someone.

The problem is Whdload slave... The exe of italian original is not recognized by the WHDload.

Change the new "Cruise" executable with the old installed Italian WHDLoad version in the DATA dir, and the game will work.

IIRC if the original exe is restored, only a few corrections in the game menu are lost (eg "Salva il drive" > "Salva su drive") never mind, but please remember that it was fixed in our release.

Tried "cruise" from this version with last WHD and it says unknown/unsupported version BTW... Looks like original IT version wasn't supported (only ITA cracks?)

Hmm, yeah you're right.
However, the Skidrow version works.

Now, what I don't understand is disk 4.
File "d4" in data dir in the pre-installed game is different to all the disk images I have of the italian version.
I can't remember, did someone upload this installed to the zone at one point, clearly I couldn't have installed it myself since disk 4 differs to mine.

I'm afraid the crack is an hex-edited (english?) exe with Italian strings. The italian original exe contained (better) localized ITA strings for disk operations, player menu etc.

There is something you can improve in the Ita translation: E' -> È.
All italian accented vowels: ÀÈÌÒÙ, àèìòù, ÁÉÍÓÚ, áéíóú

(three $2C$20 separators of course = ", " and can be ignored)
... so È should be $C8 (but I'm not sure if the font has also capital accented vowels).

Intro: scarabocchiate freneticamente sulla busta -> scarabocchiate frettolosamente sulla busta
Un cesto della spazzatura rovesciato -> Un cestino dei rifiuti rovesciato

EDIT: altre frasi migliorabili
Nell'armadio (Ripostiglio) tra le prime location:
Anfora > Questo vaso di peltro ha un foro. -> Boccale > Questo contenitore di peltro ha un foro.
Barattolo > Questo vaso è pieno di sabbia. -> Anfora > Questa anfora è piena di sabbia.
