That is a frustrating scenario - a faulty disk. But to call the game frustrating because of it...

Not true, I during a EAB/Lemon SuperLeague I discovered Ican play Risky Woods during the time I wanted at any level without any dying. So think that perhaps you are playing the pre-release version which is very hard instead the final version, as the character is not controleable when jumping. To know which version you have look at the title screen if there some equalizer copper bars at side when title music plays that is the prerelease one (also has no in game music, as and I told, the character is not controleable whwn jumping).
