Hide window titlebar after it is revealed?

Situation:
- I have a screen, with it's title bar set to be behind the backdrop window.
- I have one window, and it's a backdrop window. no title string defined, appropriate flags are left unset.
- when the window is opened, I have it set to not show a titlebar. this works fine.
- opening and clicking on a menu item works fine, and doesn't "turn on" the window's title bar.
- opening a requester from ReqTools keeps it hidden, until the requester is closed, at which point the window title all of a sudden displays.
- my goal is to never show the user the window title bar.

Is there a trick that would work here?
