Hello,
this is my first contribution for this wonderful community.

Maniac Mansion's pre-cooked ADFs in Italian are now available in The Zone.

This is the English version with the translation patch available on OGI (official C.T.O. translation from the DOS version) with, in addition, the bugfixing of the corrupted graphics of Dave's animation.

The patch necessarily required ADFs with the following checksums:

...I don't know if they were a good starting dump. Enjoy!

AFAIK the ADF required for the patch should not be cracked, but it seems it isn't so?
May I also ask what is a "bamcopy"?

The translation is well based on the version cracked by VF

bamcopy, this means that the disk has been altered by modifying the unused sectors of the disk. The classic way, which is the case here, is that the free sectors are simply erased, set to zero. This modification is 99% done by DMS, a disk compression program, which erases free sectors when the NOZERO option is not used, thus increasing the compression ratio.

Disk copy tools (XCopy by example) also perform bamcopy, which speeds up the copy process as only "useful" data is read from the source disk and written to the target disk. The results differ from DMS, the result is different because in this case, the unread sectors on the source disk will not be modified on the target disk. So, in this case, each bamcopy may give a different result because of the free sectors on the destination disk before the copy.

I'd like to know more about the VF crack.
There is a door in the game that is closed, and that requires a correct code (in the manual) to be opened. Usually in the cracked versions the door is yet open, while in the OGI forum they chose this version of ADF (once from Emuparadise) because the door was closed (and therefore not cracked).
