FS-UAE and Launchbox
Hello! I use FS-UAE 3.1 and it works like a charm with the GameBase collection (ADF, zipped) and WHDLoad. I have a selected collection of games in hdf format, that I use with PUAE (RetroArch). My problem is that I cannot get my hdf files to work with FS-UAE via command line, so that they can be loaded and autostarted using Launchbox.
What I've tried is this command line: fs-uae-launcher.exe --hard_drive_0 = "Full\Path\To\Dir\Game.hdf" fs-uae-launcher.exe hard_drive_0 = "Full\Path\To\Dir\Game.hdf" with and without quotes. The only thing I get is the Launcher window, but no loading at all. I should add that this collection of games works in PUAE, but it is not recognized in the scanning process of FS-UAE Launcher (only GameBase and WHDLoad are scanned). What should I do? Which command line could possibly work to autostart these hdf files? Thanks in advance! |

Have you tried 'fs-uae-launcher.exe --hard_drive_0="Full\Path\To\Dir\Game.hdf"' ?

Hi, @TCD! I just tried the command line you suggested (i. e. without spaces): fs-uae-launcher.exe --hard_drive_0="Full\Path\To\Dir\Game.hdf" But it doesn't work either. All it does is opening the Launcher UI, and nothing else! |

I found this thread: https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=64299
Also you could create a config with the HDF and use that config as a parameter for the launcher. |

At least I ended up with something... First of all, I tried with fs-uae.exe directly (not the launcher). And after a lot of search I tried the following command (exactly as I write it):
fs-uae.exe --fullscreen=1 --amiga_model=A1200 --hard_drive_0="Path\to\Game\File.hdf" with quotes. Problem is that fs-uae loads into the AmigaDOS prompt, and does not run the game. There must be something strange with these hdf files, since they run directly and smoothly with PUAE, but not with FS-UAE. I would like to load these games with FS-UAE. Is it ok if i upload one of these files, so they can be inspected? I'm worried that this could be against the rules... |

Unless there are kickstart roms on them it's okay to upload them.

OK! I attach a sample game. It has been zipped just to upload it here, but I have all my games unzipped in hdf format. I don't even know how open these virtual hard drives in windows or in fs-uae. But probably they contain the reason why they don't load in FS-UAE (although they do in PUAE). Thanks!
