Amiga 2000 case screws - Can't Find Any

I have a several Amiga 2000's with no case screws. One did have one holding the PUS in.

I went to Lowe's and used their screw tester and it seems to be a M4 .7

They, of course, do not have them in stock, nor Home depot.

I looked on Amazon and had little luck. I saw some but the head were not wide enough, and none have the external star locking washer on them. Some have 'spring' washers but they do not look 'authentic'.

Dose anyone have a link or correct search term to get the correct screws/bolts with star washes for a standard 2000 case?

Thanks

Pretty regular M4 machine screws with a cheese head and Phillips drive. 6mm long ought to do it.

The card bracket screws are more difficult to find, M3.5.

TME.eu also sells a wide variety of screws. I bought the M3.5s from there. The M4s came from a bolt shop local to me.

How about the spaces/bolts and screws to hold the floppy drive in place ? I need some of those!

You won't find them locally in the US, but you can order them from overseas. We just don't use that size standard here for anything related to home improvement...

Meh. Don't order them from overseas. Order them from Illinois. You have to buy in bulk, but sounds like you need more than one set anyhow. Look under metric steel pan head screws. McMaster has stand-offs, too. You need to determine how long you need.

M4 = case screws
M3.5 = Card bracket screws
M3 = Drive and motherboard screws

Well sure, yes, if you can get them from here... Do it. I didn't know they were sold here.

Bummer! I could have sent you some, I purchased a bag of 100 from a local fastener outfit about 15 years ago (exact match for the originals).

Doubtful I'll go through enough Amiga 2000's in my lifetime to use them all!

Thanks for this links !!!
But those are 'pan' head. Other threads suggest we need 'Cheese Head' which have wider heads. Pan heads may not give quite secure fit covering both side of some of the larger case holes.

As long as the head is flat underneath, you'll be quite ok. Pan head or cheese head is totally fine.

You may find pan head more aesthetically pleasing. The original case screws had toothed lock washers integral to them, you can leave them out or buy a pile of loose ones. It is probably not very easy to find ones with the integrated lock washers any more.

The first A2000 I bought in 1993 had pan head screws. I have never seen one with cheese head. Perhaps it depends on the location of final assembly.

Having spent way too much of my life looking at screws, I doubt the originals would have been cheese heads.
