Cannon Fodder WHDLoad

Hi Guys, i am trying to install Cannon Fodder 1 with the WHDLoad installer i got here.

I run the installer on the amiga and it installs files but never asks for the disks so i know the game is not installed.

Any help is appreciated.

All Working!

Thanks Retro-Nerd

One more question if you dont mind,

I also have the game reel fish'n which has a file hdinstall on the disk.
If i try and run the hdinstall it just says its not executable.
Hall of light says: HD install script must be executed from CLI.
Any ideas how i make it work?

Thanks again

Got it.

Although when unzipped just comes as reel fish'n with no extension, i had to open with winrar which said it was a zip file and extracted it perfectly.
All working!

Thanks so much Retro-Nerd

all games working brilliantly exceptfor my star trek 25th anniversary pre-install from whdownload.
at first it told me i need kick40068.a1200 so i used a program called grabkick and it made that file from my a1200 and then i downloaded skick and took the rtb file from the archive but now when i start the star trek game it just sits at a black screen.
but im working on it lol

That's weird. Star Trek 25th Anniversary runs fine in WinUAE, but the screen stays black on a real machine. Have do to a deeper check.

Star Trek is 8 disks, might be a memory issue. Remove 'PRELOAD' from the icon.

Hi Galahad,

i click on StarTrek25thAnnivAGA icon and then right click and choose information from the icons dropdown.
I then clicked on PRELOAD and delete then save.
Hope thats right but still sits on black screen.
I have downloaded the whdload installer and got my original floppies ready, i'm gonna try and install myself and see if works.

Thanks

Mike

The memory requirement is moderate:

Quote:
It requires:
- WHDLoad 16+
- 1.1 MB ChipMem and 2.0 MB OtherMem
Removing the PRELOAD tooltype doesn't fix the problem.

Looks like a 030 CPU problem. Just tried WinUAE with a 68030 CPU and the screen stays black. Retried with a 68020 CPU and it works fine.

I'm afraid you get the same result with a reinstall.

I wrote a PM to Psygore, the WHDLoad patcher for this game. Maybe he knows more.

What is your cpu on your accelerator? a 68EC030 or a 68030 ?
Try to run Star Trek with nommu option (add NOMMU from the icon) or try an older whdload http://www.whdload.de/whdload/old-wh...d_16.6_dev.lzx
