The Biggest Cheaters!

I just thought it would be nice to talk about thing that pisses off every time when it happens:

You buy a game that looks awesome in the box. When you try it home it looks crap and nothing like in the pictures "taken from the game". Same thing happens in McDonald's where your burger is quite different looking than the delicious one in the pictures.

One of the biggest cheaters must be Loriciels TURBO CUP. Just compare those box pictures to real ones! What a rip-off!

Another thing is that you buy a game and it has about 50 levels and the screenshots looks good and interesting. Then the game is so hard that you'll never see the rest of the game! One game in this category must be not so good game FIRE & FORGET 2. I would appreciate if someone has cheat codes for this. Then I would be able to tell if this game is also a cheater with pretty pictures in the box...

'Gold of Aztecs', very pretty, but very hard, almost unplayable. 'Prawo Krwi' hyped as better than Mortal Kombat in polish magazines adverts, but it's pure shit (ECS & AGA version). 'Alert X' is a pathetic joke, but I remember colorful ads with 3D scenery.

I bought an old kung fu movie once. It was on DVD and the pictures from the movie on the back looked great!, but when watching the movie, the quality sucked sooooooo hard, all blurry and shit.... turned out those pictures on the back cover where touch-ups.

That's NOT cool!

Also, biggest cheats are any food company, like McDonalds... nothing looks like the picture when you get it.

Aladdin.
The MS DOS and Megadrive versions play great, but somehow they managed to screw up the controls in Amiga version.

Works fine imo.... what is the problem with the contols in the Amiga version?... I can change weapon, throw apples etc when I want to (if I have enough apples of course).... it's not like any move is hard to pull off.

In both DOS and Megadrive version I have no problems jumping over the burning coal in the beginning of level 1 without be hit.
But in the Miggy version no matter how long I press jump or pull up on joystick I always touch them.

Big grin

So, it's a good thing I've not had the possibility to own... sheesh, I've not known a single game that had a box - they all came on noname diskettes with hand-written names on 'em, so I wasn't spoiled by the cheap ultra-realistic cheatin' pictures

My personal pet peeve was the arcade game screenshots for the converted game. G-loc comes to mind.

Selecting joypad and not joystick in control options was the culprit.
It works fine with standard joystick settings for me now.
