Putty Squad / Silly Putty 2
Here's something interesting about Putty Squad: an early "work in progress" preview from late 1993! It's from the German "Amiga Games" magazine, issue 8/93. Especially the screenshots are very nice.
Here are the scans, feel free to use them for the HOL: http://www.amigabase.de/SillyPutty2-1.jpg http://www.amigabase.de/SillyPutty2-2.jpg (150 dpi, 1.3 MB each) |

If you want to use the scans, then please download them fast, as they'll be removed from the server on Sunday.

by one of the people working on the game.... |

Mark cale has accused one of the guys working on the game to 'retain' the development of the game... and then the things went back and go to court...

Retaining development of the game? Which version, the SNES or the Amiga? What was Cale planning to do with it? Recalled reading that post Studio 3 closing, he'd started up a company working on mobile phone games, hadn't he?

Putty Squad was going to resurface on the PS2!! I did the original gfx, and was commisioned a couple of years ago to redo all the gfx twice the resolution for a PS2 release. The guys Mark used to do the conversion screwed up and I think it all just stopped there

yeah, I met him once or twice. He worked out of house and just sent the samples onto the programmer, Chris Butler!

Of the SNES version? Was that the same Chris Butler of renowed C64 fame (C64 Ghost 'n' Goblins, & Turbocharge for System 3 amongst other numerous hits). I always wondered what'd happened to him after the C64 faded from the scene. |
