Happy Zak´s Goal! Thread

Hello,

I am doing a "Real Edition" of the soccer game Goal! from 1993 / Dino Dini and have three questions:
I am searching for the team lineups the way they really played. I made huge progress now, but still have teams missing and jersey numbers are not correct. Question:
1. Is there anybody who could help me complete the Real Edition?

I also want to correct the factory lineups which have been delivered with the game. They are messed up and need to be sorted. I didn´t do much work on that yet. Question:
2. Is there anybody who already has the factory lineups corrected?

I know there is a way to patch the game disks with the corrected teams (Dino Dini File System), but I couldn´t really cope with it. Question:
3. Is there some programming dude who could patch the game disks with the corrected teams? (This could maybe offend the board´s rules?)

Thank you so much for your answers.

Why don't you search your info and data on the internet?

Sorry, but I'm a SWOS fan.

If you have collected all data I can patch the Goal! disks to use these new teams.

I did for a long time now, but it´s not as easy as it seems since many players have played more than one position in their lives. So for those like me who don´t really know about Football, it´s difficult to interpret the lineups correctly. Everytime you think you got it you then learn new information about a player and all your tactics are busted. That´s why I decided to ask for help.

So how to proceed? I will go with the disk I have now since there does not seem to be a Football expert around to teach me.

I managed to patch the Goal! disk now but it is most obviously infected with a virus. I can´t do anything about it. Is there someone who could help me on that? Can you remove the virus?

Run a program like VirusZ to check the disk.

Always check Aminet first:
http://aminet.net/package/util/virus/VirusZ

Not sure if this is the last version though, some specialists might give better details.

Thanks for the download links.

VirusZ can´t change that my patchable disks are infected with the virus from the Quartex cracked version. It would display colors after the start, there you can see. I think it´s still all right to use as people use the Quartex version without hesitation as well. If someone could provide me with an original virus-free Goal! bootblock that would be the solution, the cracked version bootblocks don´t help.

Update:
07.10.12: Uploaded GOALnew.lha to the zone for whom is interested.
10.11.12: Uploaded new improved version GOALnewV2.zip to the zone
06.12.12: StingRay checked my disks and says that "there is absolutely no virus" on the Goal! disks and that the "virus checkers are wrong, i.e. you got false positives". Special thanks for that. So feel free to use my version of Goal! if you downloaded it.
01.01.13 Uploaded GOALnewV3.zip with minor changes (still found some errors in V2)

GOALnew First disk = first game disk with original Goal! lineups but sorted
GOALnew Second disk = second game disk
GOALnew Third disk = custom data disk with the teams the way they really played (but numbers incorrect)

Made a little Goal! league as add-on. GOALzak.adf

Direct links to the Zone are not allowed http://eab.abime.net/faq.php?faq=vb_...ezone_faq_item

Please check the zone for this adf /DH

If one of the chiefs could relabel the thread be "Zak´s Goal! Thread" that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Very last line in the LINK I provided says "Also Please don't direct link to files in The Zone when creating a 'new thread' or 'replying to a post'". It's been there since year dot too

Sorry, read your post slightly wrong, been a long day. No worries though, it's all sorted now

Already have it (Legend Data Disk), thanks again . I thought about just adding my league to it, but I didn´t want to adorn myself with borrowed plumes, like people would think that all of the content was created by me when I put it up to the zone.

Uploaded GOALnewV4.zip to the zone.

I still recognize errors or have a new clue how to interpret the lineups. Don´t know if there will be a final version without a Football expert who is Amiga fan at the same time. I do my best in improving the disks all the time. Hope there is at least any person enjoying them.
