Adding RTC to an A500 memory expansion card

By pure chance, I took a glance at my A500 memory expansion card and noticed that it has printed letters "Akku" and "Uhr" on the bottom side of its PCB. Fortunately, I am an expert in made-up languages and I have quickly picked up that it means that a "battery" and a "clock" could possibly fit there. Flipping it over revealed that it indeed has room for a battery and an RTC chip.

Now, my simple brain had a thought that it would be as easy as soldering a battery and a chip, and I could have myself some real time clock action on my A500. However, before I spring into action, I would like to run this idea by my Amigan brethren. Is it as easy as that?

I would appreciate some thoughts and comments. Especially humorous ones

It looks like it might work with only these two additions. Seems everything else is populated. Look at other mem expansions to see which clock chips don't have external crystals, I don't see one or space for one on the board.
