Good luck if you do manage to find one. ... Just expect to pay a horrendous price as they hugely sort after now, due to the fact the Amiga Technologies didn't produce a great deal of them. Add a 68060 card and expect to remorgage your house (well almost!).

I hope you've got a lot of money, you'll need it!

To give you an idea, I saw a hugely upgraded one go on eBay for about £2000 a few years back. Expect to pay half that for a bog standard one with a reasonable size HDD.

Yeah £1000++ for a basic one.

According to amiga-hardware.com only 200 A4000t's were made by the big C=... so gawd only knows how many AT versions were made...

I guess the C= version is that bit more desirable though...

Goodluck

Well it does come with 2 proper Amiga HD floppy drives.

But the AT edition case has more drive bays.

Tough choice!

Thats not true. The case is exactly the same except the front bezel and the C= version has one HD floppy instead of the DD floppy used by Escom.

A basic AT version in good condition is 400-500 Euro worth, not more.

AT made at least 5.000 units.

£1000 for a standard A4000T from AT is way too much.

At ebay.de u should get them for about 500 Euro.
At least i got 2 of them in very good condition for 500 Euro each a few years ago. Even with complete original packaging.
And a modded A4000T case with window and blue lights and so on for about 140 Euro.
The only problem would be the german keyboard for the non-germans.
A full-blown AT A4000T with CSPPC 604e/233 + 060/66 and so on did sell for 1500 Euro back then, since 2 bidders did push the price from 900 Euro to 1500 Euro. So it was not interesting for me anymore.

But a Commodore A4000T is literally unaffordable.
I never saw the Commodore A4000T model for sale on eBay or anywhere else.
At least i can't remember.
And nobody knows how many of these (max.) 200 pieces are still in working condition.
Most of them must be still in the possession of ex Commodore employees and so on.

Even the golden C64 is seen much more often.

It's more likely to find an AMIGA Walker prototype than a Commodore A4000T.

But i didn't look for Commodore stuff at eBay in the last years, since my parents will kill me if i increase my Commodore collection at my parents house.
It's already filling more than 2 rooms there ...
And that's NO joke.

Unfortunately i'm too busy with work and travelling so i have no time to check all parts and to sort them out.
That's the main reason why i don't look for Commodore stuff at eBay anymore.
And there are more important things in my life too ...

Now you can do almost everything with emulation too, except the video stuff.
So there is no real need for collecting every Amiga model and all the expansions ever sold.
Except u r really AMIGA CRAZY.

Ciao, Rick ...

Yeah, I wouldn't pay more than 500 euro for an AT version. The C= ones bring double though - last one I saw went for more than $1 million dollars

Kia ora!

I'm not sick ... i'm just crazy!

When i was younger i had not much money and if i wanted to buy a new AMIGA i had to sell my old one first.
My parents did never buy me computer stuff.

So i sold the A500 to get an A2000D (already Kick 2.04 back then in January 1992).
Then i sold the A2000D to get an A1200.
Then i sold the A1200 with Blizzard 1240T/ERC to buy an A4000 mainboard + RBM Towerhawk II case + Zorro-Board + one of the first CSPPC's and so on.
Thanks god the CSPPC's came with a big delay so i had not to spend that much money at once. I did preorder at Vesalia and had still time to save enough money.

(And before someone asks, the 1240T/ERC will easily fit in a standard A1200 case.
I left the trapdoor open and mounted a selfmade "hook" to keep the 1240T/ERC in place and then i used higher rubber feets to allow enough airflow beneath the case.)

Now i have a lot of disposable income and i can buy now all this stuff i never could when i was younger.
(For the same reason u can see old guys driving a Porsche 911 Turbo. )

And if u start with collecting then it's very hard to stop.
We r still hunters and gatherers.

But i will tell u what's really sick.
If u have enough of free time then u will have most probably not enough money.
But if u have enough money then u will have most probably not enough time to enjoy ur money.
That's sick!

Ciao, Rick ...
