A4030 with Warp Engine 4040 40Mhz trouble
I have an A4030 with a WarpEngine 40 and a SCSI hard drive pluged to the warp controleur.
Everything works fine when the machine started the workbench but it's a pain in the arse to succed a boot and sometimes the machine refuses to boot after a normal reset. The Amiga can produce the A4000 boot sound but stops at that point and refuse to boot the harddrive or the floppy disk. I noticed the boot is easier when the machine is cold. Of course I checked my 68040 fan and it's good, The amiga never crash even if I do an intensive use of the CPU, I have a terminator on my HD... I tried with an IDE hardrive and disconect the SCSI detection from the card and it,s the same (black screen no boot, no floppy). But my amiga boot normaly without scsi dectection an no HD (scsi ide) Any help ? Merry Xmas Last edited by Tony Landais; 24 December 2003 at 18:39. |

Perhaps the WarpEngine needs correct setting of the clock jumpers on the motherboard ?

I spend my night to replace every single jumper and card and now it works!
The problem came from a conflict betweem the warp scsi and the Commodore IDE controleur. The only way i found was to had a Fast ATA 4000 IDE controleur for my CD Rom. :/ |
