Hi, sorry to dig up this old thread..
Does anybody know the solution to this partition issue?
I´m having the same issues when make 2 partitions in my 4GB CF card. After the reboot all partitions desapear. The most I can do is make a whole partition about the size of CF.

You need to do what is mentioned in the previous posts (run as admin, check the read/write checkbox), but you also need to do 2 more things:

The first is to be sure that when you add your drive, you are setting it up as Amiga IDE drive, not as UAE drive; if you are using a real amiga, the HDtool program will be looking for SCSI.device, not UAEHF.device, so be sure you have your drive set up as A1200/4000 IDE mode and not as UAEHF

The second totally obscure thing is that you need to push a button in the drive settings, that make the drive operate as full RDB drive. Hope this helps
