Fan power in A1200
I'm doing a little hacking/casemodding in my A1200 because it's too hot. I've got a BPPC/040 to which I already attached an extra heatsink, but for the rest I still have a pretty hot A1200 (harddisk generates a lot of heat, too).
I want to add some fans under the "grill slots" in the top lid, but I need to know where I can get the power from. I would like to take power from the floppy power connector, but what pins do I need to connect to? I think 1 fan might be enough, but maybe I'll attach 2 just to keep things cool. Thanks in advance for help. Cheers, Eric |

Code:
--+---- |o o o o| +---_---+ red = +5V black = ground black = ground yellow = +12V Check your fan's voltage and then choose the right pins. You can also get 7V if you connect the fan between +12 and +5V, but I don't think this is recommended. |
