Normal, no version check at all. Unsupported version = crash. That's why it's called beta.

Yep, I'd like to have your version so I can add support for it.

StingRay, could you also take a look at these?

Maybe some of these games you could WHDify (most of them are DOS games)? I can provide you with the images.

I will see about these. I'll ask you about the images then as I definitely don't have polish games here. Also, most probably these fixes will need much longer as I don't understand polish (except for Kurwa ;D).

Images for Embryo are in the Zone - http://download.abime.net/zone/Embryo-org.lha

Don't worry about this. Most of this games will probably work on generic slaves but some diskswapping workarounds are needed. I can help you with many polish texts so it could be easier for you.

Yes, I bet I'd need your polish knowledge for these games. As said, will let you know when I start working on slaves for these games.

first test version can be downloaded here: click me.

WARNING: it is totally untested (but I think it should work). Only the prefs won't work as these require separate patching. Can you test the slave with your version, Mailman? I'm specially interested if all the trainers etc. still work. Thanks.

This is the difference between a patch by someone that has been doing them for years and a newbie!

Errm, I always add version checks at the very end... No offense but that has nothing to do with being a newbie as I suppose I did my first hd/aga patches long before you even heard about such things.

Well, it wasn't me who started this. And if I can't stand one thing than that is useless arguments. And if Codetapper thinks version checks are the most important thing about patches then I have the right to disagree as I prefer to do the real work first. Anyway, won't comment further here.

Of course, StingRay. But this probably ends in 20-30 posts, which has nothing to do with your Embryo slave. That's what i've meant with "slowdown".

Well, no problem for me... If Codetapper is up for a challenge, no problem for me. Let's see who's the newbie then...

Edit was reply to Bippy's "Cracking compo" message.

Message to Codetapper: I'd like to see a newbie coding the pango slave... That's all I have to say! Why didn't you do that one? Seeing that I'm a newbie and you are not? Got stuck in the blitter decryption?
