Its arrived! A500 in NZ

I have it!! That was a long week LOL (got a call from my folks last week to say my old childhood mate had said I was welcome to his Amiga).....

Now, I have not plugged it in yet, I have removed the RAM expansion, no sign of dodgy Varta goodness - its a shielded expansion and cant see how to get into it to check the battery properly, but by bending the cover back a bit I can just see the battery, and it looks good.

So stage 1, is to strip this puppy down, and check what revision etc it is, then decide on a plan of attack from there.

Its a true "virgin", never been opened in its life, all warranty stickers still in place.

End goal will basically be to have a "modern" Amiga with USB mouse/joypads, some extra RAM and some form of storage such as HDD or CF.

Long as the 1084S is in good nick, wont need to worry about any video issues such as HDMI etc.

Congratulations, she looks like a very clean A500! Do you have any floppy disks to test out on it while you wait for a GoTek?

I actually do have ONE. I have an original boxed copy of Frontier sitting on my shelf, its been there for last few years waiting....
